Pastor Pablo Valenzuela was born in Juarez, Mexico, and spent his childhood there until the age of twelve. His parents relocated his family to the United States, where they settled in New Mexico. Pablo accepted Christ when he was 16 years old in a little Christian church in Canutillo, Texas. Pablo met his wife, Alicia Meza (from Fabens), in 1986, and they married in 1990. They raised five children (3 boys and 2 girls) together and are now the proud grandparents of nine amazing grandchildren (5 boys and 4 girls). Pablo and Alicia have worked in various capacities in several congregations throughout their Christian lives. Pablo became a pastor at Horizon Christian Fellowship in El Paso, Texas, and remained there until the Lord called him to Fabens in January 2020. Pablo and Alicia raised their family in the Fabens/Tornillo neighborhood, where they still live and love. Fabens Christian Fellowship is an expository Bible-teaching church, and our purpose is to see individuals come to the loving gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the glory of His name.
Pastor Raul grew up in a Christian home as the seventh of eight siblings. At the age of twelve, he came to Christianity during an in-home fellowship, and at the same time, his father accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. His mother, Amanda, was well-known in the community as someone who enjoyed sharing the gospel with everyone and was a great example of Christ’s love and compassion. She had a significant influence on all of her children. Pastor Raul has spent the last 27 years in ministry. He served as an elder at Horizon Christian Fellowship from 2005 to 2020, while our church was still a church plant here in Fabens. He has been married to his lovely wife, Sonia, for 27 years. They have raised three sons, whom they adore and who also love the Lord. His hope is that this fellowship will be a powerful witness to Christ’s love and compassion, reaching out to the lost and making disciples for His glory.

Their goal is to see churches characterized by nine biblical marks of a healthy church. Why these nine? Because sadly, they’re too often assumed or ignored in evangelical churches.
